2008 Master of Arts in Music with specialization in Music Technology from the University of Aalborg, Denmark.
Masters thesis is on the subject of modern icelandic music and specifically music related to the organisation Smekkleysa. The thesis was written together with Irene Greenwood Povlsen. Adviser: Anders Bonde. Main academic focus included composition, sonology, sound design, music production, studio recording techniques, music analysis, music history, critical therory and more. Main teachers: Martin Knakkergaard and Søren Bovbjerg. Exchange studies at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, New Media.

2003 Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Aalborg, Denmark.
Bachelors thesis on the music of Portishead with focus on production and sound.
The thesis was written together with Henrik Backhausen. Adviser: Søren Bovbjerg.

Participating in various lectures and conferences on the subject of composition, new music, computer music, electronics and media art.
Artistic Practice
Composer, performer and sound artist. My artistic practice is multifaceted spanning from solo performances and collaborations to commission work including sound installations and works for musicians and ensembles.
Academic
Currently an adjunct lecturer in New Media Composition at the Iceland University of the Arts where I teach courses in sound design, interactive music and auditive analysis. Responsible for mentoring composition students as well as mananging the music department sound studios. I have been closely involved in the BA-level New Media Composition track and have helped shape the education.
