Þelgap is a music-research-performance group focusing on microtonality, extended durations, hybrids of electronic and acoustic sounds, noise (noise foldings), hypersonics, directional audio, hypermusic, and sensefusion. Through their explorations they aim to redefine the concert format and create concert works that often span 5-25 hours. On this debut concert of the ensemble — which will also serve as the release concert for their first album — the first part of the work "Temporal foldings: part 1/5 (deep-resistance and flow theories)" will be performed by the founders and core members of Þelgap: Einar Torfi Einarsson and Guðmundur Steinn Gunnarsson.
